What it's Like to Retire in Woodburn

Woodburn is known for the Woodburn dragstrip as well as two golf courses in town, including the Oregon Golf Association's golf course. The town is in located in the northern part of the Willamette Valley and is part of the Salem Metro. Another popular attraction is the outlet mall, Woodburn Company Stores. Where to Retire in Woodburn and Home Prices

There are a number of active adult communities in the area. Tukwila, the area surrounding the public championship golf course, supports a more up-scale community of both younger families and retired folks.  Woodburn Country Estates is a retirement community with golf course. Median home price in late 2014 was about $150,000 (City-Data.com).

Woodburn is located in the picturesque Willamette valley, with beautiful views of Mount Hood. Both Portland and Salem are within easy driving distance (20-30min), and housing costs are significantly cheaper. The yearly tulip festival and Octoberfest nearby are big tourist attractions.
