Peoria is a suburban town northeast of Phoenix and Glendale in Arizona. The population grew over 30% in just a few years, currently about 125,000 call Peoria home. It is one of the furthest out communities from Phoenix and is home to many active adult communities because of the availability of land.

Real estate prices in Peoria were hit pretty hard in 2007 - the average sale price declined to below $200,000 from over $300,000.
