Pueblo : Colorado

Known as the Steel City, as one of the largest steel producing city in the US, Pueblo is a metropolis located at the economic and shopping center of the 20-county Pueblo region in Colorado. Home of a historical plaza, plenty of historical steel mills, four medal of honor recipients, and a branch of Colorado State University make this bustling Colorado community a college town with a big past.

There is at least one active adult community in the area.

Median home prices in mid-2012 were $128,900 according to Zillow.

Pueblo is home to the Historical Arkansas River Project, a river walk along the union avenue historical district. It's also being called the state's top spot for solar energy, with the largest wind turbine plant in the world in its near future as well.

Crime in Pueblo is high, and poverty rates are not the best either.

The largest fair and single event in the entire state is hosted every year in Pueblo, the Colorado State Fair. The largest street rod event in the nation, as well as an annual Wild West Fest, is also hosted here.
