Carrabelle is a small town in the Gulf Coast of the Florida panhandle. The population is about 1300. Active adults 55+ are moving to this area west of Tallahassee because of its mild climate, outstanding recreation opportunities, and slower pace than in much of Florida.
There is at least one active development in Carrabelle and many others are either nearby or planned for the area. Home prices have been erratic in 2007-8, but tend to be in the $100's. |
