Garner : North carolina

What Garner is like for active adults
Situated in the middle of North Carolina is the rapidly growing town of Garner, about 8 miles from Raleigh.  Garner is both a suburb and a small town with a population of over 26,200. Thanks to  its close proximity to Raleigh, Garner is a place that has a small town feel with uptown access to everything Raleigh, the Research Triangle Park, and other areas have to offer. There are plenty of recreational activities with its nearby lake.

Real estate prices have held up well in the recession, averaging over $160,000 in 2009's 2nd quarter.  There are active adult communities in the area (see link at top right).
