What New Castle is like for active adults
New Castle is a very old town at the mouth of the Delaware River. Founded by Peter Stuyvestant in 1651, the town was an important center in colonial days. That rich history is what makes New Castle such an appealing place for retirees today. Of course Delaware's low tax structure doesn't hurt either.

There are active adult communities in or nearby New Castle.  Average home prices in early 2008 were in the high $180's.
