| What Edgewater is like for active adults |
Edgewater is a small coastal town of about 21,000 near New Smyrna, Florida (there are actually 3 Edgewaters in FL -here, in Broward County, and a part of Miami). Hollywood is to the south. This is a quiet town with an average age of about 42; crime is very low. The town has great barrier islands on the Atlantic with many wonderful beaches. Edgewater is a sleeper town - you don't hear much about it but it seems like a nice place to live.
There are active adult and 55+ communities in the area (see link at top right). The median home sold for just over $100,000 in late 2009. |
