Carrabelle is a small town in the Gulf Coast  (often called the "Forgotten Coast") of the Florida panhandle.  The population is about 1300.  Active adults 55+ are moving to this area southwest of Tallahassee because of its mild climate, outstanding recreation opportunities, and slower pace than in much of Florida. This area is quite beautiful and unspoiled. Carrabelle has a lovely harbor and a downtown with a modern library and several residents.  Boating, fishing, and going to the beach are popular.  Nearby islands like St. George and St. Vincents are popular attractions.
