Bozeman is located in the Gallatin Valley and surrounded by mountains on all sides. The population is growing very rapidly and that includes active adults moving here to maintain an active lifestyle in retirement.  The population increased 27% between 2000 and 2005. Real estate values reflect that growth, with the average home in the Bozeman Metro selling for about $335,000, the highest levels in the state in mid 2009(according to Zillow.com).
