Cary : North carolina

What Cary is like for active adults
Cary is located in the heart of North Carolina's Research Triangle Park, northeast of Raleigh. The city is one of the fastest growing towns in the U.S., and many of those coming here are people from the northeast looking for a retirement home.  Locals often joke that Cary stands for "Containment Area for Relocated Yankees". The employment market here is one of the strongest in the nation.

Average real estate prices are in the high $200's to low $300's in early 2009 - there is not much evidence of a housing slowdown (so far!) in Cary. There are many active adult communities in the area, including surrounding towns like Apex, Raleigh, and Durham.
