Pearland Texas is one of the fastest growing suburbs in the nation. The population is about 90,000 people that is to the south of Houston. It is near the Gulf Coast and all of those attractions. There are several commercial and retail centers in Pearland including Pearland Town Center and the Shadow Creek Town Center. There are active adult and 55+ communities in Pearland (see link at top right), as well as the master planned communities of Silverlake, Sunrise Lakes, Southern Trails, Southdown, Lakes of Highland Glen, and Shadow Creek Ranch.  Zillow reports the home value to be $211,000 in mid-2016.  Property taxes are high.

Pearland is in the Houston/Sugarland/Baytown Metro (south of Houston).  The average July high temperature is 94 and the average January low is 45. The wettest month is June (7").


Restaurants & Cultural Scene

There are lots of movie theaters in the Town Centers. Pearland has a library and a family YMCA.


The crime rate is below average.

Medical facilities

The nearest hospital is the Texas Medical Center. Others are in Pasadena  and Houston.


Pearland Regional Airport; William P. Hobby Airport in Houston is six miles away; Amtrak is eight miles away in South Houston.
