| What Oxnard is like for active adults |
Oxnard is an interesting place and one difficult to describe because it has so many facets. It is one of California's most important commercial harbors. It is home to 2 navy bases. It has some of the best surfing beaches around. Movie stars live here, and it is also home to a huge industrial base. Its location is between Santa Barbara and Los Angeles.
Oxnard College has about 3700 students here. There are a number of cultural institutions including the Carnegie Art Museum.
According the National Association of Realtors average home prices in Los Angeles and Long Beach metro were about $354,000 in 2008's 4th quarter, off more than 30% vs. previous year. Location and condition could produce enormous swings in that price range. |
