Eureka springs : Arkansas

What Eureka Springs is like for active adults
Eureka Springs is a Victorian resort village in the northwest corner of Arkansas. Its steep winding streets and well-preserved Victorian-era homes give it an alpine feeling. Many of the buildings are built with local stone. The undulating streets rise and fall with the topography in a five-mile long loop.  Eureka Springs has been selected as one of America's Distinctive Destinations.  The city welcomes diversity and the arts, in addition to having a very strong christian presence with a large statue of Christ and a very popular Great Passion Play performed outdoors.

About 2000 people live here in this charming town, about 35 miles from Fayetteville and Bentonville. There are active adult communities in or near Eureka Springs. Average home prices were about $140,000 in early 2009.
