People who are attracted to the Auburn Foothills are just simply put "the salt of the earth". The 4th of July is celebrated each year in grand fashion like Mayberry with Aunt Bee. There are some real characters in them there hills. Music in the Mountians is a full spectrum of "classical music" including pops, jazz, big band and broadway music.

The Local City Shuttle Bus is a great way to get around in both Auburn & Grass Valley, with regular scheduled routes to the world class shopping at Roseville Galleria. The State Capital Mall has light rail service that will take you from downtown Sacramento to the Folsom Outlet Stores for a full day of shopping! Our regional medical centers also offer shuttle service.  Amtrak service.

Communities in Auburn or Granite Bay
Q: Is there anything in Auburn or Granite Bay area....we do not like Lincoln or Roseville....over 55 active communities A: At Topretirements in our California Directory (See Find a Community above) we list 1 active adult community and 1 retirement home in Auburn, nothing in Granite Bay. The latter has many subdivisions such as Wedgewood and Los Lagos but they don't seem like active communities. If anyone knows any such communities, please let us know!
