Healdsburg is a town of about 11,000 in the Sonoma County, not far north of Santa Rosa. Tourists come here for the food and wine as well as to bicycle through the hills and vineyards. three of the most important wine-producing regions (the Russian River, Dry Creek, and Alexander Valley) meet in Healdsburg. The town is centered on a 19th century plaza that provides an important focal point for tourists and locals alike. A Wall St. Journal feature writer described Healdsburg as "Today Healdsburg is a remarkable synthesis of old and new—of small-town friendliness and big-city chic—of very good wine and equally good food."Photo of historic building The Healdsburg Carnegie Library courtesy of Wikipedia and Sanfranman59, Licensed under CC BY-SA 3.0/
