Livermore is a wealthy small city of about 88,000 (2020),that is east of San Francisco and northeast of San Jose. It is considered the eastern-most city in the San Francisco Bay area. There are vineyards in the area - hi-tech businesses are also important to the economy.
Springtown is a part of town that began as a retirement community in the early 1960s. It is now a thriving part of the city. It features many of the city's hotels, new luxury home development, a public library branch, public schools, an established public golf course, parks, and restaurants. The downtown area is very active with nice restaurants, luxury hotel, concerts, and other attractions. The residents have a household income in excess of $135,000 per year. |
