What people are saying about Farmington

Farmington Connecticut retirement
Farmington could be the perfect northern retirement spot for those who winter in the warm South. The medical care in the area may be second to none, with three major hospitals within 20 minutes of Farmington and loads of specialist doctors nearby. I had open heart surgery at UCONN Medical Center, and although it is rated locally as #3 of the Hartford area hospitals, my care was exceptional. Lots of things to do in summer, especially if you are a baseball fan; the Hartford Yard Goats minor league team has brought excitement and a new stadium to the city, and there are plenty of public and private golf courses in the area, raesonably priced. One, Farmington Woods, is in a retiree community comprising both condos and single family dwellings. It is a mere 1/2 mile as the crow flies from my home in Avon, CT.
