Culturally, the town is know world-wide for the Sitges Film Festival held and October, and Carnestoltes (or Carnival) held during the month of February or March. The town is also host to the Barcelona-Stiges Vntage Car Rally, Harvest Festival, sporting events including sailing regattas, and many activities throughout the year.
 

Crime

As with many tourist destinations, the crime in Sitges mainly involves theft.

There are medical facilities in Sitges, and hospitals in nearby Barcelona.
 

Transportation

Sitges is served by the Barcelona commuter rail service, and the nearest airport is in Barcelona, about 20 miles away.
