What people are saying about Los Angeles
Los Angeles | |
The greater Los Angeles metro area is more populated than most states. The weather is fantastic. Los Angeles is very expensive. And the area is extremely crowded. Think twice about retirement here.

Retire in Los Angeles???
Los Angeles as a retirement destination??? You\'re kidding me, right? I was born and raised in this area, about three years away from retirement, and can\'t wait to get out of here! There is some good. Nice weather, one of the most culturally diverse cities in the world, abundant outdoor and indoor recreational activities, world class opera and symphony orchestra, etc. Professional wages are good. The bad? Housing is very, very expensive. Violent and non-violent crime is rampant, street infrastructure in the inner core is abysmal. The cost-of-living is one of the highest in the nation. The only real reason to retire here is if you have family in the area. I don\'t, and I\'m gone as soon as possible.
