Camarillo is old California town of 63,000 just east of Oxnard and the Pacific in a coastal valley. It is southeast of Santa Barbara and about 50 miles from Los Angeles. Some of the most desirable land in the city limits, located to the side of the Ventura Freeway, is permanently zoned for agricultural use. California State University, Channel Islands is located in Camarillo.
