Nocatee is a new, master-planned community in northeastern Florida (Ponte Vedra, between Jacksonville and St. Augustine).  About 13,000 homes are planned in at least 8 different communities - some are  for mixed generations, and at least one (Riverwood) is for active adults 55+.  This community combines one million square feet of retail, four million square feet of office and nine public schools in a livable environment. Almost two-thirds of the land will be placed in preservation and protected. The overall developer is the PARC Group, Inc.  The Nocatee Town Center is the central shopping and entertainment hub for the community. Construction for the infrastructure began in 2005 and is continuing.

There is a neighborhood for just about anyone in Nocatee. According to, the median selling price was $662,500, in mid-2022.


What Is Special about Nocatee

Nocatee has a lot of things going for it. It is a new urban community that is designed to be walkable and livable. The Town Center is convenient and anchored by a large Publix. The Nocatee  Community Park and Splash Water Park provide entertainment and a place to socialize for all ages.

What Is Not Special about Nocatee

At this point the community is still being built out so there will be some growing pains and waits for certain components of the community.

People looking for a new urban, walkable town to live in might very well like Nocatee.

Local Economy Is Driven by

Employers in Jacksonville like NAS Jax, CSX, Winn Dixie, Coca Cola, Fidelity National, Tourism, Aviation and Aerospace, Large medical community like Mayo Hospital and the Port of Jacksonville to name a few.


Climate and Physical Environment

The average January temperature is 58, with July's average 81.

Restaurants & Cultural Scene

Nocatee has a nice town center and the town boasts a lot of outdoor recreation with many parks, including water parks, fitness trails, and a kayak launch. It also many hosts events and farmers markets, and for cultural events Jacksonville and St. Augustine are nearby.


Crime in Nocatee is very low.

Medical Facilities

Flagler Hospital Services the area, with a hospital in St. Augustine. The Flagler Health Village will open in Nocatee in 2020.


Nocatee is a very walkable community; the nearest international airport is in Sarasota/Bradenton about 50 miles away.
