The quiet community of Cloudcroft, true to its name, is among the mountains at an elevation of 8,600 feet and overlooks the mammoth Lincoln National Forest. This unusally high altitude gives it a surprisingly mild summer temperature. It's rustic, a little sleepy, and home to the infamous and fabulous Lodge Resort and Spa. Cloudcroft is a popular tourist destination from west Texans. It is located in south central New Mexico.
