Cuyahoga Falls is a well-to-do suburb of Akron and Cleveland, OH in northeastern Ohio.  It is named for the rushing falls that run through town (photo above courtesy of Wikipedia and Magnus Manske). Cuyahoga Falls is fortunate to have the Blossom Music Center, which is located in the Cuyahoga Falls National Park.

You can live in a charming neighborhood or one of the 55+/active adult communities being built in the area.
The median price of a home in early 2016 was $104,950  according to Zillow.com.

 

What is special about Cuyahoga Falls

This part of Ohio is rural and peaceful and relatively prosperous.  The Cuyahoga Falls are beautiful and so is the Cuyahoga National Park just outside of town.  Blossom Musical Center is the summer home of the Cleveland Orchestra and one of the top cultural venues in the state.  Crime is low and so are home prices.

Climate and Physical Environment

Cuyahoga Falls is located north of Akron and south of Cleveland in northeast Ohio. The Cuyahoga River and its Falls go through town. The average July high temperature is 84 and the average January high is 34 (the average low is 20). The wettest month is July (4").
 

Restaurants & Cultural Scene

Blossom Music Center is an amphitheatre located in Cuyahoga Falls. The Center is the summer home of the Cleveland Orchestra, which performs its annual Blossom Festival there. It also hosts a full summer schedule of popular music acts and symphonic performances, including the likes of Jimmy Buffett and Leonard Bernstein. The Cuyahoga Falls Library is a thriving institution - its circulation doubled from 2000 to 2009.
 

Crime

The crime rate in Cuyahoga Falls is about half the national average.

 

 

Medical facilities

Cuyahoga Falls General Hospital serves the town. There are additional hospitals just a few miles away in Akron and to the north in Cleveland.
 

Transportation

There is an AMTRAK station in Akron. Cleveland has a very big airport on its western side. Cuyahoga Falls is about  average in walkability when compared to other communities.
