There was a lot of interest  in our recent member survey about retirement renting, and in particular, how to find a good rental. So here it is - the pros and cons of renting vs. buying, along with some smart techniques for finding a nice retirement rental. The emphasis is on seasonal rentals, but the principles apply to year round renting as well.

This growing Houston suburb represents one of the more diverse retirement towns on this site. Missouri City has long been known as a place for middle-class African-Americans to live, although the population also has good representation from whites, Asians, and Hispanics. There are several large communities suitable for active adults in the area.
