The island's temperature is in the 80's in January and the 90's in July, and experiences constant trade winds from the Atlantic Ocean, which come from the north-east. The annual rainfall is about 18 inches but varies between El Nino years which may only bring 6 inches of rain and La Nina years when Aruba may see about 40 inches.
