It's time for our annual popularity contest to find out the most popular active adult/55+ communities for 2010. To add variety we expanded the list from the top 25 to the top 50 this year.
The results are in for the communities that you and your fellow visitors are most interested in learning about. Most of the top 10 were repeats from last year.  But by increasing the field from 25 to 50 we brought in plenty of new blood. AZ, NC, and FL dominated. But in by far the best performance per square mile - little Delaware placed 5 on the winners list.
To find capsule reviews of more than 1000 active communities go to our National Directory of Active Adult Communities.  Click on a state; under the "best" towns you will see the communities in our directory.
This resort community on South Carolina's beautiful Lake Keowee is open to all age groups, not just those 55+. It has just about every popular amenity from golf to tennis to boating. The Reserve at Lake Keowee is a Showcase Community at Topretirements.
