    Checklist: Leaving for the Winter
Harry, a member at Topretirements, suggested we develop a checklist to help snowbirds with the complicated task of getting their homes ready for an extended winter absence. We can tell you from personal experience, there are a lot of tasks to think about!

Maybe you thought your big activity in retirement might be golf or tennis. But don't be surprised if you find yourself on a pickleball court in the next few years. A spokesman for Pulte estimates that 50% of their active adult communities now have courts for pickleball, an age-friendly cross of ping pong, tennis, and platform tennis. Don't miss the video!

      Lake Tahoe, CA
Tahoe is sure to be a growing area for retirees.  Refugees from California cities are attracted to the amazing blue waters of the lake, nearby mountains with world class ski resorts, and every kind of outdoor recreation. The image we can't get out of our head is the amazing scenes from "Godfather II", set on the shores of the lake.
