This small resort town is on a barrier island in extreme southern Texas. Surrounding towns include South Padre Island, Harlingen, and Laguna Vista. It is a beach town and a popular retirement destination for fishing and relaxing.

When retirees calculate their budgets they often overlook one important fact - their Social Security Benefits might be taxed.  The tax is a little hard to figure, since it depends on calculating this mouthful: your "Modified Adjusted Gross Income".
