We are pleased that our "Worst States" article has been featured in so many national press outlets, including most recently, AARP.  The article has generated hundreds of comments around the web, and the most persistent one is: "How can a state be both on a 'Best' and a 'Worst' list?" We try to explain how that might happen here.

Click on a state to see reviews of 618 great retirement towns, plus a list of 1,219 active adult communities.

This town in southwestern Utah has become one of the most popular retirement destinations in Utah, if not the southwest.  St. George is famous for its red cliff scenery and boasts warmer winters than the rest of the state.  It is home to many large active adult communities. Religiously, it is more diverse than the rest of Utah.
