  • Welcome to our weekly newsletter - we hope you find it useful. If you do, please forward it to a friend.  This week we had an unusual problem - so many great articles about retirement planning caught our attention that we couldn't decide which one to focus on. That led us to our lead article, which summarizes 5 top stories you need to know about.
Today's Newsletter Sponsored by Hot Springs Village:
Hot Springs Village is a gated, resort community in the Arkansas Ouachita Mountains with residents of all ages. Join the Fun - nine golf courses, eleven lakes, tennis facility, pickleball courts, hiking trails, fitness center, performing arts center, ample health services and more than 200+ clubs and organizations.
Here you will find capsule summaries of the 5 best retirement articles we have seen lately - from what baby boomers want in retirement to dispelling the 5 top myths about retirement homes. Read on to improve your retirement preparation quotient.
If being near the beach is important to your retirement, this area just above Myrtle Beach is a definite place to check out. Although a very small town, it has a surprising number of active communities and places to live.
Click on a state to see reviews of 809 great retirement towns, plus capsule summaries of 1,632 active adult communities.
Last week we promised a report on the "Green" burial we attended in Gainesville (we said Gainesville, Georgia but meant Gainesville, Florida). More properly called a "Natural" burial, the experience converted us from sceptic to convert.  Here's our report and why we changed our mind about a service that sooner or later all of us will need.
The unusual founders of this town were German free thinkers who enjoyed conversing in Latin. Now it offers an interesting place to retire that's off the beaten track.
