I am surprised that the author included New Zealand on this list when it is nearly impossible for any non-resident to obtain residency status in order to live there. Unless one has over $5M to invest and thus qualify for an investor's visa, people who are retired are not able to get a work visa or residency status. Even if you are working with a labor skill that is requested, your odds go down as your age exceeds 35 - 40 years old.
