How to Find a Snowbird Rental – Many Advantages
There are many advantages to finding a snowbird rental in a warm place for some or all of the winter. There is the obvious one: it gets you out of the frozen Midwest, icy Northeast, or the dark/dreary/wet Pacific Northwest for a pleasant interlude in the sun. Another big advantage of snowbird rentals is that they give you a chance to see and experience different parts of the country with very little risk or expense. If you ever decide to purchase a place either as a snowbird or for year-round living, you will be a much more educated buyer. Yet another advantage: it provides an opportunity to be visit friends and family without overstaying your welcome.

There is no place like The Villages, FL. Plenty of winter rentals available. The activities and rec facilities are incredible. Over 700 golf holes, over 200 pickleball courts, over 100 swimming pools, and over 3000 clubs and activities. It takes two pages of the daily newspaper to list the day's activities. For example, I play different card games nine times a week.

Yes, there’s no place like the Villages. If you want to live with 100,000 mostly like-minded retirees in a 55+ community, it just may be for you. Especially if you like golf and want to be away from a large city. It’s only an hour or more from major urban hospitals and airports. I lived in Orlando in the mid 2000’s when the Villages’ population was around 40,000. It must be a good sign for some retirees that its population keeps growing by leaps and bounds. Yes, the traffic caused by that kind of growth can get challenging, but most residents say they can apparently deal with it. Lots of retirees want to get away from the rest of the world and the Villages can certainly be a place for that. Like the old song says, “Let the Rest of the World Go By.”

Not sure if I’m allowed to post this here, but we own a DIRECT OCEANFRONT Hilton Head condo with panoramic ocean views that we offer as a short-term rental throughout the year. We just recently decided to rent it out for a much cheaper monthly snowbird rate for December 2023 and January 2024 and will most likely offer it as a snowbird rental again from December through February in future years. If interested, you may contact Hilton Head Island Beach and Tennis Resort directly at 800/475-2631 or 843/843-4402 to get information and rates for UNIT B331. Be sure to request December and/or January and the “snowbird monthly rental” rate for UNIT B331. Thank you.

The Stay and Play is a one time offer for customers of The Club at Quail Ridge Realty only. The club has a one bedroom townhouse in Kittiwake designated for realty guests.
The cost is $599 and includes three night’s accommodations, four rounds of golf and $100 dining credit. Guests can arrive on a Monday or Thursday. Some restrictions apply. The package is not available Jan. 15- March 31 with additional restrictions depending on the golf schedule/renovations.
